The original Asus Eee PC

When we didn’t think that an Eee PC could get any cheaper. Asus’s President Jerry Shen, said that there will be a new lineup of Eee PCs available in 2009 the new Eee PC lineup will start at just $200. Unfortunately Jerry Shen didn’t say anything else.

I will update if I find anything else.

Free TV

October 30, 2008

If you’re like me you watch all your TV shows that you missed online. But isn’t annoying to go to 5 different sites to watch 5 different TV shows. Well that’s not going to be a hassle anymore with a site called Fancast. What this site does, is it takes all the shows from popular networks like Fox and CBS and puts them up on Fancast for you to watch. But that’s just the beginning when you sign up for Fancast you get a list of options that lets you choose what kind of TV shows/movies you want Fancast to show you the most of, so if you like to watch Horror Fancast will show Horror TV shows/movies the most. Fancast also has movies like The Girl Next Door, Spy Game, 28 Days later and more. But this is my favorite part of the whole site. Read the rest of this entry »

The Asus Eee PC has Competition

October 30, 2008

By Kris at 5:06 PM

Well the way things are going now it seems that most computer manufactures are trying to see how low can they go with the price tag and still make a decent machine. Well no other company has lowered that bar like Asus with their Asus Eee PC. But as more companies move toward the netbook market they make better products and nothing else is a better example than the new HP Mini 1000 lineup. The HP Mini 1000 lineup comes in 3 different versions. All 3 run on an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor. Read the rest of this entry »

Ever wanted to learn or communicate in Binary Code? Thanks to Roubaix Interactive, its easy!

Binary code is the system of representing text or computer processor instructions by the use of a two digit number system. This system is composed of only the number zero, representing the off state, and the number one, representing on state, combined in groups of 8. These groups of 8 bits can represent up to 256 different values and can correspond to a variety of different symbols, letters or instructions. An example of this is the uppercase A, which in ASCII binary is 01000001. Read the rest of this entry »

Windows 7

October 28, 2008

By Kris at 5:55 PM

So Microsoft is working on the next release of the Windows OS, dubbed Windows 7.The reason for the shift in name change away for year dated releases was originally started with Windows XP, with which Microsoft had hoped to move away from the old scheme of yearly platform releases to a download-to-update.  For some reason or another they shied away from this release method and returned to the older shelf release scheme with Vista.  Despite the return to new product releases every few years, the change from dated name releases stuck with the products, leading to the upcomming release of Windows 7.

Terrorists Use Twitter Too!

October 27, 2008

By Kris at 4:11 PM

Well in today’s world almost everyone is part of some social networking site even terrorists. Yes that’s right I said terrorists, recently a US Army intelligence report said that terrorist could use Twitter (a free social networking service that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates) as a tool to carry out their attacks. The report also had a couple scenarios in which terrorist could use Twitter, combined with programs as Google Maps or cell phone pictures or video, to carry out an attack. The report also stated that nothing has been said on the pro-Al-Qaeda forums, and that if terrorists would be planning to use these tools they would most likely be talking about it on major forums and blogs.
