#1 – Beejive IM. Beejive offers an iChat like experience to the iPhone. It works with AIM, Google Talk, ICQ, Yahoo, Myspace, MSN, and Jabber. We love it because of its iChat bubble messaging scheme, automatic away messages, and Push messaging capabilities.

#2 – Nanosaur 2. This is a full version port of the game from Mac OS X to the iPhone. The graphics a beautiful and the accelerometer adds a new dimension to the game. I just wish the iPhone version had a 3D option like the original game did.

#3 – Brothers in Arms. Arguably the best and only first person shooter for the iPhone. You play a solider back during the world wars. You combat the Germans in this fast paced action pack first person shooter. The game is extremely addicting. I just wish the controls were a LOT better.

#4 – Stickies. An excellent posted note app. Great compensation for the iPhone not having a dash board. Stickies allows you to create posted notes easily with a variety of colors. The app also makes it easy to post a sticky note as your background to remind you of life’s everyday, but forgetful tasks.

#5 – Aqua Forest. A fun addicting game running off of the O.E. Cake engine for Max OS, Windows and Linux. It is more than just a game, its an experience. O.E. Cake is a physics engine and application which allows you to test the physics of different items.

#6 – X-Plane. The best flight simulator for the iPhone. This game is very similar to the Mac and PC version. You get to fly multiple planes in numerous scenarios.

#7 – Spore Origins. This game is a spin off from the Mac and PC versions of Spore. Just like in the full version, you start off as a cell and grow. Unfortunately in the iPhone version you can’t evolve into anything else, but you can grow and discover more use full parts.

Geeks 2 Girls recently got to test drive and review the most sought after cars in the world, the Audi R8. The R8 is Audi’s first attempt at a super car, and it did a fantastic job. The car is based off of Audi’s lemans race car. The car is great for any racing enthusiast or for getting the attention of almost any girl, because of its exclusivity. Its a real head turner! The tech behind the car will excite any geek.

The R8′s hand built aluminum body and 8 cylinder engine delivers you from 0 to 60 in almost 4 seconds. The car is absolutely beautiful and a pleasure to drive. The all wheel drive  will take you around any corner at high speeds with ease. The LED headlights create an unique presence on any street.

Besides having a big engine under the hood, the R8 has a lot of new technologies. The R8 has Audi’s patented magnetic suspension, which give a great boast to it’s performance in handling and aerodynamics. In side the car, it features a premium sound system with intergraded Bluetooth, GPS navigation, DVD playback, duel SD memory reader for songs and video. The R8′s two SD slots support  up to 8 GB of music or video. With todays new cards, it is a real downside when trying to take your entire music collection with you.

Although still in closed alpha, Boxee has been gaining steam as the open source media application of choice. Previously it could only pull in content from your networked drives similar to iTunes, but the latest version of Boxee now also enables you to watch content from tons of sources. Hulu, CBS, Comedy Central, CNN and more are all at your fingertips. Boxee doesn’t stop at just video. You can also stream music from you Last.fm account, your local iTunes library, and even photos from Flickr. Better yet, you can easily add any video rss feed to your Boxee account and watch it as its own channel.

Did I forget to mention that Boxee is also a social application? You can connect with other Boxee users as friends, see what they have been watching, and recommend content with a few clicks. 

With Boxee’s initial release you could only experience content directly on your computer or on a HD TV with an adapter and HDMI cable, but Boxee’s latest version is now compatible with your Apple TV. Using a USB patchstick you can install the application directly on your Apple TV and take in all the good stuff while sitting back on your couch (this is how I have it set up). When asked what the future brings for Boxee I was told that they would like to be available to use on any device you would connect to your television or home media center. As an open source application their are plenty of opportunities for incredible things to happen with Boxee.
